What is cash flow?

Cash flow is the life blood that keeps your business moving forward. It is the money that is moving in and out of your business in a given month. It helps to think of cash flow as an overview of your business checking account. If more money is coming in, your business has a "positive cash flow." If more cash is going out than coming in, you will typically need to utilize some form of working capital such as a loan or line of credit to cover the shortage.
